When a child is malnourished, you give them food.

When a child is sick, you give them medicine.

But when a child is abused, food and medicine alone will not help.

When a child is abused, the help he or she needs is the help that only professionals trained in child abuse and neglect can give. In too many places in the world, there are no professionals trained in child abuse and neglect, and there is no training available on child abuse and neglect.

That is where ISPCAN steps in. That is where your donation to ISPCAN makes a difference. Your donation ensures that the abused child has what he or she needs most: trained professionals who care and understand and know how to help.

Your donation to ISPCAN helps us:

• Train professionals in developing countries on how to detect, stop, treat, and prevent child abuse and neglect
  
  
• Develop culturally appropriate curricula for training professionals in developing countries on child abuse and neglect
  
  
• Hold regional conferences on child abuse and neglect in Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and Russia.
  
  
• Fund low-paid professionals in developing countries to attend these conferences.
  
  
• Support efforts in countries around the world to develop the laws, policies, and systems that child abuse professionals need to properly report, intervene, treat, and prevent child abuse and neglect.
  
  
• Establish national societies of child abuse and neglect professionals in new countries, as we have in recent years in China, Egypt, Ethiopia, Georgia, Lebanon, Nigeria, Russia, Syria, Tunisia, Uganda, and Yemen.

Without trained professionals and the systems and services they need to respond to and prevent child abuse, children who suffer abuse have no where to turn.
