Learn more about the work ISPCAN does to protect children worldwide from violence, abuse, and neglect and also support the work ISPCAN does by attending ISPCAN’s 30th Anniversary Fundraising Dinner and International Expert Panel and Reception in Chicago on April 10, 2008.
ISPCAN’s Anniversary Dinner and Expert Panel immediately follow the 2008 ISPCAN Global Summit on Protecting Children from Violence, Abuse, and Neglect, which takes place in Chicago, April 8-10, co-hosted by ISPCAN and the Loyola University Center for the Human Rights of Children and Civitas Child Law Center. At this Summit, leaders from UN agencies and NGOs from around the world will meet to strategize how they can best work together to make the world safer for children. The outgoing chair of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child will chair the summit, and the current chair of the Committee on the Rights of the Child will also participate. So too will representatives from:
- the UN Study on Violence against Children
- UNICEF
- World Health Organization
- Canadian International Development Agency
- Child Help Line International
- Crimes against Children Research Center
- International Child Rights Institute
- Plan International
- Save the Children-International
- Save the Children-UK
- Save the Children-Sweden
Following this Global Summit, ISPCAN will hold an Expert Panel & Reception and its 30th Anniversary Dinner, both open to the public. Several of the UN and NGO leaders at the Global Summit will speak at the Expert Panel and attend the Anniversary Dinner. So we encourage you to attend the Panel and the Dinner, to meet these international experts and learn more about ISPCAN.
Please open your Invitation to ISPCAN’s Expert Panel and Anniversary Dinner, and RSVP by March 17.
Then on your calendar mark the date, April 10, 2008, the date when you will meet others from around the world, who, like you, care about protecting children from violence. We look forward to seeing you at ISPCAN’s 30th Anniversary Dinner and Expert Panel and Reception!
