        Huddle 2025 – Follow Up & Resilience

This session will focus on the ongoing support to children who underwent CSA. Participants will explore strategies for building resilience and promoting a sense of safety and stability. Multigenerational child sexual abuse, in the context of culture, family and systems of care will be explored. Practical strategies for how the medical, mental health, and justice systems must interact to protect and heal the child will be deeply examined. *The session will be accompanied by Mr. Sasha Joseph Neulinger, the film maker of REWIND.

Deep dive into a case of child sexual abuse. Watch the film through the eyes of the child to challenge our current practices in every region

        What attendees will explore:

        1. How the public health model can broaden our understanding of the risk and protective environments that impact children
        2. How assessments and interventions can be positioned to
leverage new and emerging findings on risk exposure and resilience
        3. How services within child protection systems can be
strengthened to support families in need
        4. How services in the community can complement services
within the child protection system to support vulnerable children
        5. How individual actions of the practitioner can
embolden a system and lead to better outcomes for children

        Expected Outcomes:

        • Encouraging participants to think differently and adopt
          new ideas for their region
        • Identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement in
          policy and practice
        • Framing key insights and take-home messages, which will
          be documented and disseminated
