🏘 I live in Colorado Springs, Colorado in the US

🚏I wish more people talked about funding and how to navigate power dynamics ethically

🏖 I love animals – I would have a zoo if I could – and have a pet horse named Banana

I am Christina, a research fellow based at the University of Edinburgh 😀

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 I live on the East Coast of Scotland.

📚One of the main challenges in my current research is the vast heterogeneity in adverse childhood experiences assessment. Studies often use different definitions, measures, and categorisations of ACEs, making it difficult to compare findings across research. This raises the broader the question of how and if we can draw meaningful comparisons whilst ensuring context sensitivity. Also, most research has been conducted in high-income countries and this data is not directly generalisable to low-and middle-income countries.

🐶 My fun fact is that when I was younger, my mum’s guide dog won Britain’s Guide Dog of the Year and I went on a TV show to talk about it called “Blue Peter”!

        Hi!

I am a little bit late to the game, but I thought I would introduce myself. My name is Anaïs Cadieux Van Vliet, I am a PhD candidate in Social Work at McGill University (Canada).

I wish we spoke more about sibling relationships in the context of child maltreatment. This is my area of research and it’s proven challenging to find literature and colleagues who share this interest or focus.

A bit about me- to stay with the pets and animal theme shared so far: I have a husky dog and have a passion for dog sledding, which I do at a nearby farm every winter!

Welcome Anaïs! We’re so glad you’re here!

Your research area sounds so interesting; I’d love to hear more about your work sometime.

And dog sledding! That is so fun!! What a cool hobby – it reminds me of Balto, which, I imagine, is something you’ve heard a lot! 😆

Hi Anaïs! Lovely to virtually meet you.

I am also really interesting in sibling relationships, including sibling bullying victimization. Great to connect.

          Also your husky sounds adorable!
