      Session Summary

      Across the globe, child and family services are navigating rapid shifts in data, technology, and policy. But while systems often lag behind, sector leaders are stepping forward, designing shared data platforms, embedding real-time evidence into decision-making, and setting practical boundaries around emerging technologies like AI.

      This panel brings together Australian leaders from across services, research, and policy to share how they’re building momentum from the ground up. Through a series of short leadership vignettes, the session will explore what it takes to lead reform under pressure and what makes it possible to align evidence, tech, and policy in service of better outcomes. This is not a showcase of finished work, but a strategic conversation about what’s emerging, what’s still difficult, and what we can learn from each other. Attendees will leave with practical insights, transferable tools, and new ways to think about innovation in complex systems.
