Session Summary

The first part of the session will present the context in which Alumbra emerged, highlighting the statistical landscape of child sexual violence in Mexico. This will be followed by a discussion of the process of forming the community, the work with partners, the analysis of models that served as a foundation (such as the Spectrum of Prevention and the INSPIRE strategies), the definition of Alumbra’s priority strategies, and the creation of the digital platform Alumbramx.
Next, the Alumbramx digital platform will be showcased, along with some of the resources it offers for the prevention of child sexual violence.
The session will conclude with a discussion on Alumbra’s strengths and challenges, as well as its next steps—among them, the implementation of more robust evaluation tools to measure changes not only in the use of the digital platform, but also in policies, practices, and social attitudes.
