Session Summary

This interactive workshop brings together two global initiatives, To Zero and the Safe Futures Hub (SFH), to explore how a bold, unified vision, grounded evidence, and practice-based knowledge can accelerate national efforts to end childhood sexual violence (CSV).

Despite growing global momentum, many governments face persistent barriers in tackling CSV: fragmented approaches, outdated or inaccessible evidence, and limited mechanisms for integrating practitioner and community insights into policy.

This session introduces three key field enablers designed to overcome those challenges:

  • A shared field-level vision and roadmap for ending CSV (To Zero)
  • Continuously updated, policy-friendly evidence on effective interventions (SFH’s Evidence Review and Living Systematic Review)
  • Practical insights from frontline practitioners and lived experience (SFH’s Practice-Based Knowledge Framework for Ending CSV)

Participants will explore what it takes to translate these enablers into national policies and systems through a real-world example from Kenya.

The session will also engage participants in small group dialogue, using a futures-thinking approach to reflect on what’s working, what’s holding us back, and what gives us hope.
