Learning Objectives:
In collaboration with multiple partners, SOS Children’s Villages have developed and delivered training on trauma and trauma-informed practices for child and youth care professionals; supported alternative care organizations to offer trauma-informed living environments; and raised awareness about what trauma is, how it affects a child's development, and how to behave in a more trauma-sensitive manner. Presenters Lili Olah, Gábor Kelemen, and Lubos Tibensky will:
Introduce the methodology behind the project and its three lines of intervention.
Present the experiences of training child and youth care professionals in the national trainings in Hungary.
Discuss policy recommendations that SOS Children’s Villages and partners are advocating for.
